Accomplished international antique expert, Giorgio Baratti opens his first gallery in 1982 in the heart of downtown Milan. Over the years, the gallery has expanded to became an important hub for the international market and for the eager collector.
Giorgio Baratti Antiques accurate selection can satisfy diverse customers, ranging from the demanding collector to those looking for a touch of antiquity and prestige or an intelligent and wise investment.
The gallery offers a wide choice of Italian and European Old Master Paintings, mostly new discoveries, spacing from portraits to mythological, sacred and profane themes.
Still lifes and landscapes are also regularly shown.
Besides paintings, the gallery offers selected pieces of antique sculpture – in marble, wood, bronze or terracotta – and fine pieces of antique furniture with a special attention for Tuscan Renaissance, an old and personal passion of Giorgio Baratti.
The Gallery is currently housed in the prestigious Palazzo Bigli Ponti, one of the most important Palazzi in Milan that combines Bramante-inspired architecture with Renaissance Lombard painting.
